Old Connecticut Path

It has been nearly 400 years since European settlers followed Native American trails from Cambridge in the Massachusetts Bay Colony to found Hartford, Wethersfield and Windsor in the Colony of Connecticut. That pathway became known as the Old Connecticut Path. Parts of it still exist in Ashford.  You can walk in the footsteps of those founders of the Land of Steady Habits on the trails in Fleigel Farm Woods and Langhammer Forest, and on the Nipmuck Trail, Pixie Falls section.
